Temperatures are not extreme. Because of the high elevation, the summer highs rarely reach the high 90 degrees. Most of the precipitation comes during the summer “monsoons”. Winter moisture is usually snow or snow mixed with rain. The snow usually melts within a couple of days. The average yearly precipitation over the last 21 years was 13.58 inches.
